1994 Ministers agreed to let Ministry of Public Health to cooperate with University affairs launchingCollaborative Project to Increase Production of Rural Doctor-CPIRD.

In 2006, One Doctor One District project-ODOD was launched in order to increase number of doctor in remote area according to government policy.
