1954 King Bhumibol composed a song called "Mahachulalongkorn" and bestowed to Chulalongkorn University
1958 King Bhumibol invited Laikram Band to perform at Chulalongkorn University Hall and that was the beginning of Music day at Chulalongkorn University.
approximately in 1957 MDCU band was founded, a popular doctor music band.

In the period when CU Band of Chulalongkorn University was established with MDCU Band, the King knew about the music instrument budget insufficiency which was quiet expensive at that time, so he granted music instruments and this saxophone was one of them.
