1947 Foundation of Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University

On 4 June, Government gazette of Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital Establishment was effective. The first Dean was Professor Emeritus Major-General Phya Damrong Baedyagun(Cheune Buddhibaedya).

Professor Banyen Tawitpat was the pioneer of anatomy. In the beginning he asked student to cut off the window of museum building which was old Red Cross museum and was used as classroom of Gross Anatomy, in order to have sufficient light in the classroom.
